The 2013 Robot Showrobot show

Monday, December 9, 2013, 2:40-4:30 PM
McNamara Alumni Center
200 Oak Street S.E., Mpls
(on the University of Minnesota East Bank Campus)

Directions / Parking:

The University Av Ramp connects to the McNamara building, but fills up quickly. Other close public lots that almost always have space are:

Lot 37 (www1.umn.edu/pts/maps/facilities/lot37.html)
Lot 33 (www1.umn.edu/pts/maps/facilities/lot33.html)
Maroon Lot (www1.umn.edu/pts/maps/facilities/maroon.html)

For six weeks, the 240 college students in the introductory design course in Mechanical Engineering design and build their own robot. Their task is to create a machine which "does something interesting".

The results of their efforts will be on public display at the Robot Show. It is the largest collection of robots assembled in one place in the Twin Cities and is fun for kids of all ages. The show is free and is open to the public. It is run like an open house, so you can come for any or all of it. We invite you to join us for this exciting event.

For information about the project, see the Robot Project web site
For a description of the charge to the students, see the Robot Project Brief
